Hello.

As ive wrote on my personal blog,(realityreflection.blogspot.com), ill rant my stories here. and this is the first one.

TEACHERS DAY

Happy teachers day. tts MDM WAI my sec 4 form teacher.
well, she sure made an impact in me and my classmates life.
Motivation,encoragement and all. Shes the best !
I believe, she one of the reason to where i stand now.
Right here in poly doing Industrial Design.

NYP INDUSTRIAL DESIGN STUDIO

This is our new studio. Smaller tables. And LOOK, theres our name on the table. But too bad, half of the class are going for attachment to their respective companies so we wont be in the studio for 3 mths.

talking about attachment, im attached to AZTECH; marketing team. im not really sure of what ill do there but most probably ill be doing visual comm. Im kinda excited and at the same time scared and nervous. ill start the attachment program this monday. Wish Me Luck!

Portrait Sessions

Hello.

I had 2 photo session this week. No. ill be having another one with photographer from Clubsnap forum. We're shooting for Nike Human race this saturday.

I initially plan to do shoot for competition "flying w/o wings" but then my ideas arent creative enuf. so i did portrait photograph again.

then, i shoot wif my Boy Paris in school.
planned was to shoot at school rooftop but it was locked. so we just decided to try out at the stairs instead.

im liking this session.

of course. after shooting my model. i got the setting set and ask my model to shoot ME.
i done major editing to them btw...

From the call for my last post for any interested model for my portrait photo shoot, Muzz tell me she is. So, she choose the spot. Hort Park.

at arnd 3pm we reach Hort Park. its too Bright and scorching HOT.
i just cudnt take a nice pix there. everything is too white.
Since its too hot, We head down to vivo. chill at starbux then up to the rooftop.
i was unhappy and disappointed cuz my shots for the day is not sastifying until i just look into the viewfinder(the camera) and saw a nice view. the i change the camera setting and add flash. then i change position and BANG. i got what i want. Check.

=) so, what u think?

I was planning to go on photo jamming since im working in the mid shift and i suppose i end at 5.30. enough time for me to slack and find a nice spot and wait for the sunset. Well, my shift ended at 6.30. darn!

Its all good. Just nice timing when i step outta workplace.

This is just by the corner of my workplace.then i rush down to clarke quay

Its been a crazy hour. Cause the sun dont wait for you to take shots of its beauty. So, right after work i rush downwards along the river to take pictures. honestly, i was sweating. its been fun la. i wanna do portrait photo jamm next. any interested model??? =)

Landscape

i hardly do landscape shooting. but if i do landscape, im attracted to clouds, the shade and amount of light from the clouds and lights at night. I get all crazy when i see beautiful forms of clouds and shade of blue in the sky.
Anywae, this fine day more to evening. close to 7pm. im wondering at esplande. they say, shooting during sunrise and sunset will be the best timing. i have to agree. but to shoot at sunset. you gotta be fast cause the sun wont stop and pose for you.

This is actually my first try of landscape photographing. so here goes :

this last picture, i had alot of try-shots. changing the appreature (amount of light captured) for best result. and im loving this one. =)

Lights

Lights is one of the important element that made up the picture.
for me, i like those ambience lights. dark, orange feel. im not good with those studio or professional lights with an umbrella and reflector all that. i play with natural, the lighting at the location, flash and the camera setting(ISO, appreature and shutter speed).

The lights from those candles gives more feel to the picture. moments like this, it is best not to use flash.

For this shot, i had a few tries. too dark lost its feel, too bright dosent look interesting.
So, i changed the white balance for this.

Timing plays alot when photographing performer. My camera flash and zoom is limited to a distance. so what i did was, get as close to the stage. then, lookout for stage-light so you dont really need to use flash.then, just get ready to shoot. performer will move and pose unpredictably. Like the one in my shot. Right timing. & i got him at the right spot. if u see propelly, the stagelight is just infront of him. but the keys and the humdrive hanging by his jeans is NOT improtant at all. haha. (next time ill post more on shots at a gig performance kay. it will prolly be seth performance at the basement.16 aug)

This location is dark. Using flash is too bright. using flash then faster the shutterspeed dont give me the colour scheme that i want,it doesnt look nice.(to me) so, i change the white balance to tungsten light. =)
